The Forsyth County Bronco Athletic Association, Inc. ("Broncos") is a non profit organization made up of area volunteers and supported by the generosity of all of those that donate to us. We practice and play at Clemmons Elementary School. We are a division of the Northwest Midget Football League, Mid South Region and members of the National Pop Warner Organization for football & cheerleading. Our participants are area youth age 5 to 15. The regular season begins August 1st and runs up to end of October. Extended season play for teams advancing could run through mid December for competition level teams. Practices are typically on Mon, Tues & Thurs. evenings from 6-8. There are usually 8 regular season games on Saturdays, as well as playoff games, Championship games and Bowl games. Cheerleaders will all cheer for the games, perform or compete at the Local Cheer Competition, and those cheerleading squads and football teams that advance, can go all the way to Nationals in Orlando Florida in Dec. We are also an organization that emphasizes education and honors those scholars that have a 96% or better GPA. Feel free to contact any Board member or email the webmaster if you have any questions about the Forsyth County Broncos! Here comes another GREAT year!!! History
In 2001, a small group of individuals had the vision to begin a new program for the purpose of providing character and skills development for our youth through football and cheerleading opportunities. Our first season opened 2002. During our first official season, we had 157 football players (6 teams) and 52 cheerleaders (4 squads – 2 of which competed), ages 5 through 15. Due to our tremendous growth, we relocated our entire operation to Clemmons Elementary School at the beginning of the 2005 season. We are proud of our strong partnership with the school. Broncos operate by 100% volunteerism. Each year, we conduct fund raising to earn the required capital to run the organization. We count on donations and hard work to keep the program running. . . The Forsyth Country Broncos are associated with the national Pop Warner Cheer and Football Organization. In addition to the physical competition through their sport, all participants are rewarded for their academic excellence. Pop Warner has strict guidelines for safety, skill and academics. The Broncos adhere to the guidelines for the best interests of the kids.
